MindRivals ("the app", "we") is a quiz and brain-teaser game. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. We collect the minimum needed to run the game's online features.
Account data. Playing online features (leaderboards, duels, Infinity mode) creates an account identified by a random ID, secured optionally by email/password or Google sign-in. You choose a public username. If you choose a photo avatar, it is stored and shown publicly on leaderboards; you can replace or remove it anytime.
Gameplay data. We store your XP, scores, daily-challenge results, duel results, and which questions you have been served (to avoid repeats). This data is linked to your account.
Device data for ads. Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP address, and app interaction data to serve and measure ads. We request non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob data practices.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a device push token to deliver friend-request alerts and daily-challenge reminders.
What we do NOT collect: contacts, photos beyond a chosen avatar, files, microphone or camera data, precise location, or any special-category personal data.
Online data is stored with Supabase (our database provider) on servers protected by row-level security: your data is only accessible to your own authenticated session. Offline progress (levels, local XP) is stored only on your device.
Exclusively to operate the game: showing leaderboards, matching duels, tracking progress, preventing repeated questions, delivering notifications you've allowed, and serving ads that fund the free game. We do not sell personal data.
Your public username, avatar and XP appear on leaderboards visible to other players. Duel and friend features show your username and score to the specific players you interact with. Data processors we use: Supabase (database and authentication) and Google AdMob (advertising). No other sharing occurs.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time, directly in the app: Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. See our account deletion page for full details. Local device data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage.
MindRivals is a general-audience quiz game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what's described above.
